It costs Greater Change just £1,300 to help an individual out of homelessness.
This saves the public purse over £29,000 per annum. A return of over 20x
We’re delighted to announce that Greater Change has received significant funding from the Community Organisations Cost of Living Fund delivered by The National Lottery Community Fund.
This funding will enable us to expand our programme of personalised cash grants, which support individuals out of homelessness in a dignified and cost-effective manner. £1,319 spent by Greater Change unlocks £35,177 in cost savings to the government. A return of over 20x.
The need for our work is greater than ever, with an estimated 300,000 homeless households in the UK today. Our team is working hard to scale Greater Change to meet this need, and we’re grateful for the National Lottery’s support to do just this. The funding will be used to grow our team and capacity so that we are able to hit our target of supporting 400 individuals out of homelessness in 2024 and continue to grow thereafter.
It will also enable Greater Change to continue to thoroughly measure our outcomes and impact and invest in raising the profile of our work. Thanks to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport for making this possible.
